Refreshing Your Creativity at State Library
This project redesigns the Create Quarter of the Victoria State Library to enhance user experience with a botanical ambiance, fostering creativity and relaxation. Inspired by Australia's national parks, the space features lush greenery, water elements, QR codes for nature sounds and information, and participatory elements like music playlists and user messages. During my time in Melbourne, I noticed the Victoria Library's lack of windows and plants, leading to poor air circulation and limited refreshing spaces. This project addresses these issues by integrating comfortable seating amidst plants and using QR codes to provide natural sounds and environmental information. The design improves comfort, functionality, and user engagement, meeting preferences for a refreshing environment. Kiosks and book displays will complement QR codes for accessibility, and artificial lighting will support plant growth. The mobile web page will be simplified for better user experience. In conclusion, this project transforms the Create Quarter into a space that blends nature and digital elements, enhancing creativity and user connection to the library.
